My weekend can be defined as a Family-weekend. My parents returned from abroad from their second, more-than-one-month-lasting trip to their/my homeland. The only thing keeping me from blaming them of 'leaving us' was the fact that they left to take care of my grandpa who needed surgery...we had some really tough times in the family the past year. But I do have to say that it brings us (me, my brother & parents) closer together. And that's a good thing! I value family and time spent with family, 'cause they are always the ones you can count on 'no matter what'.
When I'm home, I always head for the kitchen with my mom. This time my aunt was there too and we made a delicious Romanian dessert! 'Gogosi' & 'scovergi'
For once I didn't care about calories, carbs or fat...'cause they were full of it!! 😄
I used the 'scovergi' as a bottom for my tomato bruschetta mix, but usually it's eaten with sugar or jam.
