One should always have a goal. But the journey towards your goal is sometimes as important or maybe even more important, than the destination itself.
From Rosenthaler Platz I wanted to go and see the Berliner Dom. Pretty easy if you look on the map...
I eventually arrived at the Dom, but a lot later than expected. Why? I got distracted and lost track of time while wandering through the streets.
My friend didn't really tell me about the dresscode in the Berliner nightlife, so I didn't even think about doing some research myself. I only packed the basics plus 1 dress in case of...
So, while wandering along the Rosenthaler Straße I caught myself windowshopping. I don't particularly like shopping, I prefer not to if I don't really need anything. But, my 'situation' needed solving, so I gave in to the girlygirl in me. I bought myself some black high heel ankleboots, a blouse and a jacket.
It's lovely to enter the different "Hofs" that are interconnected, it's like a maze. You don't know where you're going to end up if you go left or right. When I cannot decide which direction, I ask myself 1 question: how is everything going in my life this very moment? If everything goed right...if not... 😊
The wandering continues and it leads me to the Monster Kabinet at the end of a sidestreet of the Rosenthaler Straße. A woman started shouting "ladies and gentlemen please follow me for an amazing show" OK.
Not knowing what to expect, I found myself entering the weird world of monster singing and dancing robots.
Nice to see, but not necessarily a must-see (in my opinion).
While the wandering continues, I passed the Fernsehturm, the Rotes Rathaus and finally reached the Dom...it was already dark, so I couldn't take a decent photo. Not only due to the darkness but my fingers were so frozen, my iPhone couldn't recognise human flesh any more!
After such day a good glass of wine in wine & music bar "Galatea" is more than welcome! If you're lucky you might even catch a live music performance!
