Leaving in style...

Sunday, November 1st . D-day.

D-day -1
Our last day on the island, the landlord kicked us out of our appartment, a day earlier than we expected. We were homeless for a day! We had alternatives, some friends were so sweet to offer us their home. But the events of the last day made our choices turn into less favorable options, so we ended up driving around in Liesje's "machine" with all our belongings. However we didn't know where we would spend the night, we had lots of fun!

I was craving for a decent bed, airconditioning and a shower. I had it with the heat and stickiness on the island! I ended up taking a hotelroom and spoiling myself with a hot shower. I couldn't imagine a better ending!

D-day
How to say goodbye to Aruba? With an Amstel Bright on empty stomach of course! With only 15mins on the timer before boarding time, we were still chilling in the sun with our golden water.

Luckily the line at the customs and luggage check wasn't long and we could pass through immediately! When arriving at the gate, we saw people standing in line for boarding, but it seemd they were boarding for another flight.

"Oh, we still have time to buy breakfast then! Let's go Liesje!"
...
We were enjoying a garlic bread and a slice of pizza when suddenly our names were broadcasted throughout the airport.
"Calling last passengers for the flight to Bogota. Adriana Stan and Liesje Verhaegen are requested to present themselves immediately at the gate.

OH-OOOOH!

A few hours later we found ourselves freezing in the third highest capital of the world. The temperature was half of what we were used to!

Get Money.Cab.Sightseeing through Bogota 'cause the cabdriver didn't find the hostel (aka stupid tourists got scammed), so we paid almost double of what we should have.Hostel.Sleep.Welcoming Jelle.Sleep.

Welcome to Bogota!

Lessons learned:
- ask the cabdriver for a pricelist
- put more clothes on

After a good night sleep we were ready to conquer Bogota!
